Top Reggaeton Stars Hit Staples Center for Calibash

Reggaeton, R&B and Hip-Hop music will be on tap as some of Latin music’s hottest stars will take over the stage at Staples Center on January 24, 2012 for Calibash. Presented by Los Angeles radio station Latino 96, this event features an all-star lineup of performers such as Daddy Yankee, Pitbull, Wisin y Yandel, Sean Kingston, Rick Ross, Flex and more. Whether on the floor or in one of the Staple Center’s plush VIP suites, this concert is one that every music lover needs to see. Combining entertainment with innovative elements like light shows and other optical elements, many will be thrilled by this exciting show.

Daddy Yankee is one of the headliners of this event. The Puerto Rican performer brings his rapid-fire delivery to a blend of reggaeton and dance hits. Wisin y Yandel, frequent collaborators with Daddy Yankee, have built an international following with a string of top hits. Pitbull, a newcomer to the genre, reached number 1 in 2011 with “Give Me Everything” and has teamed up with such superstars as Usher, Shakira, Marc Anthony, Lil John and Pharrell. Kingston, a hit performer in his own right, hit #1 in a number of countries with his song “Beautiful Girls.”

With the birth of Reggaeton in Panama and Puerto Rico, this reggae/rap mix has developed a huge following. KXOL Latino 96.3FM is capitalizing on that strong popularity to fill the Staples Center on January 24th for an event that is sure to be one of the tops in 2012. Calibash is a great opportunity to see some of the best-known performers in Latin music in one of the United States’ top venues. Whether checking out some “Beautiful Girls”, getting “Rabid” or hanging in the “Gangsta Zone”, Calibash is going to be one of the top events for this year’s hottest music.
